Why Choose Sirloin Steak?

Cooking Your Sirloin Steak
Sirloin steak is versatile and simple to cook. Follow these steps to ensure it’s cooked to perfection:

  1. Preparation: Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature. Pat dry with kitchen paper and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Searing: Heat a pan, grill, or barbecue to high. Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side to develop a golden-brown crust.
  3. Finishing: Reduce the heat or move to indirect heat, and cook for an additional 2–4 minutes, depending on your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy: 52°C for rare, 57°C for medium-rare, and 63°C for medium.
  4. Resting: Let the steak rest for 5 minutes under foil to allow the juices to redistribute, ensuring every bite is tender and flavourful.

Serve your sirloin steak with a side of garlic butter, peppercorn sauce, or a tangy chimichurri. Pair with roasted vegetables, creamy mashed potatoes, or a crisp side salad for a meal that’s both satisfying and elegant.
